Literature Text

you wrapped my wounds
in nebulae
you kissed the scars and left
a trail of stardust behind
a sweet universe of you

to us, distance
real distance
is relative, [you and I] are all too grateful

that our distance is only that of
                       countries
when it could have been worlds
                        Or galaxies

like the same I saw in your eyes
deep and dark
and flecked with
                          planets
our hearts are the nurseries of newborn stars

we don't know anything about what is to come
and how very,
very Bright
We will
               burn
later on.

we are unfathomable depths,
we are limitless leagues beyond reach
what we are cannot be contained in a simple
                 shell
of social construct

we are but a beautiful
chemical reaction
like everything in this old universe
we all rose up in our very own blanket
of dead stars

but few kept it close
like you did, sweetheart.

the universe is chaotic.
and so
could we be.
sometimes you could tear me in two, draw me in and crush me
to a singularity

but that was alright too. Because even in this
endless existence, to be close to you was
best.

we share a symbiotic love
for all the same things: nature and science and [each other]
just you
and I
           and
                  the universe
wheeling around us.
i am not a poet omg

"nurseries of unborn stars" god, that's breathtakingly beautiful
